Send the baby to the blogosphere

Margaret is now almost five weeks old, and has begun rewarding us with some true smiles. It doesn't get much more heart-warming than eye contact and an ear-to-ear grin from your brand new human.

Margaret is also keenly aware of Silas, and has smiled at the sound of his voice. Silas has realized that Margaret is here for good, and he is doing his best to figure out where he fits in this new world. It's not always easy.

But here they are -- big brother and baby sister -- in some of their finer moments of genuine affection.

    I just can't believe how beautiful she is at 5 weeks. Most babies look like Winston Churchill until they're three months! I also have faith in my man Silas. Sisters rule. It's us brothers that tragically, drool.
